As Remembrance Day approaches, Tim Hortons is once again showing appreciation for Canadian veterans and active-duty Armed Forces members. On November 11, 2024, restaurant owners across the country will offer complimentary hot beverages to recognize the service and sacrifice of Canada’s military personnel.
How to Claim Your Free Hot Drink
On Remembrance Day, veterans and Canadian Armed Forces members can visit any Tim Hortons location to receive a free hot beverage of their choice, in any size. To be eligible, individuals must present one of the following forms of identification:
- Government-issued Veteran’s Service Card
- Military Service ID card
Alternatively, active service members can also claim their free beverage by arriving in uniform.
Honoring Service and Sacrifice
Axel Schwan, President of Tim Hortons, emphasized the significance of this annual gesture: “Each year on November 11, Tim Hortons restaurant owners welcome local veterans and Canadian Armed Forces members into their restaurants to offer them a free hot beverage as a small token of gratitude for their service,” he said. “We’re proud to be continuing that tradition this year as we all take the time to pause and reflect on the contributions of the men and women who have served and sacrificed for Canada.”
A Tradition of Gratitude
Tim Hortons has a long-standing commitment to honoring military members and veterans on Remembrance Day. This initiative is one way the company expresses appreciation for the sacrifices made by those who have served Canada, acknowledging the bravery and dedication of both past and present military personnel.
