The Alberta Child and Family Benefit (ACFB) is a tax-free benefit designed to support families in Alberta with children under 18 years old. ACFB Payment Schedule for 2025
ACFB payments are issued quarterly on the following dates in 2025:

ACFB Benefit Amounts (July 2024 – June 2025)
For families with children under 18, the ACFB provides the following amounts:
Base Benefit
- $1,469 annually ($122.41 per month) for the first child
- $735 annually ($61.25 per month) for the second child
- $735 annually ($61.25 per month) for the third child
- $735 annually ($61.25 per month) for the fourth child
The base benefit begins to reduce when the family’s net income exceeds $27,024. Families with adjusted incomes between $27,024 and $45,285 may receive a partial benefit.

Working Income Component
Families earning a working income above $2,760 may also qualify for an additional benefit:
- $752 annually ($62.66 per month) for the first child
- $685 annually ($57.08 per month) for the second child
- $410 annually ($34.16 per month) for the third child
- $135 annually ($11.25 per month) for the fourth child
This component is reduced for families with an adjusted net income exceeding $45,285.
ACFB Eligibility Requirements
To qualify for the ACFB:
- You must reside in Alberta.
- You must have children under the age of 18.
- You need to file your taxes annually to receive the benefit.
- Income Threshold: The benefit is available for families with a net income below $27,024 however, partial benefits may still be available for incomes slightly above this amount due to the graduated reduction rates.
