WA Households to Receive $350 Cost of Living Boost: Here's What You Need to Know

As part of ongoing efforts to combat cost-of-living pressures, households across Western Australia (WA) are about to benefit from a $350 electricity credit. This subsidy marks the second instalment of the state’s two-part electricity relief program, which aims to ease financial burdens on families and individuals during the holiday season.

What is the $350 WA Electricity Credit?

The WA Labor Government, in collaboration with the Albanese Federal Government, is delivering a $350 credit directly to residents’ power bills. This initiative is part of a broader relief effort that has provided $2,100 in power bill support to every WA household over the past four years.

Premier Roger Cook emphasized the importance of this program, stating:

“Delivering cost-of-living relief to WA families is our top priority. This Christmas, we’re ensuring every WA household gets $350 off their power bill.”

How to Receive the Credit

The process for receiving the credit is straightforward:

  • For Synergy and Horizon Power customers:
    • No action is required. The $350 credit will automatically appear on your electricity bill after December 7, 2024.
  • For customers using other energy providers:
    • You will need to apply for the credit through RevenueWA.
    • Applications are open now and will close on January 31, 2025.

Why the Relief Matters
