“The circulated version of the coin is currently selling for anywhere between $30 to $86,” McCauley explained in a TikTok video. However, the true prize is the limited C Mintmark version, which has been selling for between $440 and $650.

The C Mintmark coins are particularly rare because the Royal Australian Mint produced only 34,967 of them specifically for collectors. “They didn’t make many of the C Mintmark coins, and they were just for collectors,” McCauley said. This limited mintage makes them highly sought after, driving up their value in the collector’s market.
