Thankfully, the National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme provides grants of up to €10,000 to help homeowners, landlords, and approved housing bodies improve their home’s energy efficiency.
Here’s everything you need to know about the scheme and how to apply.
🏡 What Is the National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme?
The National Home Energy Upgrade Scheme is a government initiative that helps homeowners improve their Building Energy Rating (BER) to at least B2.
The scheme is managed by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) and delivered through One-Stop Shops—private companies that handle everything from the application process to project management and installation.
If you prefer, you can also apply for individual energy upgrade grants rather than a full home upgrade package.
