What This Role Offers As a Senior Finance Systems & Insights Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting and optimizing finance applications, ensuring that OLG’s operations run smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to the Director of Finance Systems & Insights, you will provide essential support, manage data, and lead system enhancements that align with OLG’s goals of becoming a global gaming leader.
Key Responsibilities
- End-User & System Support: Offer hands-on support to end-users, troubleshoot finance system issues, and collaborate with IT and third-party vendors to resolve issues quickly and effectively.
- Finance Data Management: Manage data lifecycles, including configuring, transforming, and integrating data for finance solutions.
- User Acceptance Testing: Conduct testing to ensure new systems and reporting solutions meet OLG’s quality standards and business objectives.
- Project Collaboration: Assist in gathering technology requirements for finance projects, ensuring alignment between business goals and system functionalities.
- System Documentation & Training: Maintain accurate documentation, including systems manuals and job aids, and provide end-user training to support smooth system transitions.
- Security Management: Implement user access management processes to ensure secure, accurate access to OLG finance systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze data, identify areas for system improvement, and provide recommendations for enhancing finance operations.
Qualifications
- Experience: A minimum of 3 years in finance system implementation, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting, ideally with expertise in data management, ETL, and reporting solutions.
- Education: A degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or IT, with a professional finance designation as an asset.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP and finance systems, MS Office, Power BI, and other financial reporting tools.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical abilities, communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
