Special Categories in Ontario
Ontario also recognizes special categories with specific wage rates:
- Students under 18: Minimum wage increases from $15.60 to $16.20 per hour.
- Homeworkers: Wages will increase from $18.20 to $18.90 per hour.
- Guides: New daily wages for hunting, fishing, and wilderness guides will be $82.85 for shifts under five hours and $165.75 for longer shifts.
Manitoba’s New Minimum Wage
Manitoba will see its minimum wage increase to $15.80 per hour from $15.30 on October 1, 2024. This adjustment follows two wage increases in 2023 and is based on the Consumer Price Index.
Minimum Wage Increase in Saskatchewan
