Who Is Eligible for the Settlement?

The settlement applies to:

  • Current and former owners or lessees of 2013-2018 Toyota Rav4 vehicles included in Recall 23V-734.
  • Eligibility extends to those with qualifying vehicles as of June 25, 2024.
  • Vehicle owners can verify their eligibility using their VIN on the settlement website.

What Benefits Are Available?

  1. Free Battery Inspections and Repairs:
    • Affected vehicles will receive free inspections to ensure the correct battery size.
    • Missing or damaged securing components will be replaced during the inspection.
  2. Reimbursement for Battery Replacements:
    • Up to $75 reimbursement for battery replacements.
    • Owners who received a $32 discount under Consumer Advisory 21TG01 can claim an additional $43.
    • Those who purchased batteries from Toyota dealerships after June 25, 2024, can receive the full $75 reimbursement.
    • Reimbursements are not available for batteries bought outside Toyota dealerships.
  3. Out-of-Pocket Expense Reimbursements:
    • Consumers can claim costs related to repairs, replacements, and damages caused by unique thermal events.
